I am thrilled to show off this wedding styled shoot. It was a work of love by some highly talented Austin wedding vendors! We did this session back in June and it was already unbearably hot. David and Jordan with Big Time Creatives put together a gorgeous styled shoot at Gilfillan House in downtown Austin. Emily was the perfect model; I barely had to tell her what to do. She was so much fun! We played around in one of the rooms while David, Jordan and Sara set up outside. I love the big windows which let in tons of light and the stately fireplaces. The wraparound porch is so beautiful for portraits as well. Gilfillan House has three floors and each room has its own beauty. A perfect location both indoor and out for bridal or engagement portraits!
There’s nothing like photographing in hot Texas heat outside, and Emily managed to look cool the whole time. We on the other hand, were a hot mess. But that’s why we’re on the back end, ha! Sara with Bella by Sara did an outstanding job with florals, and Simon Lee provided a beautiful cake befitting the elegance of this historical Austin home. Built in 1905, Gilfillan House is the perfect place for elegant weddings with an intimate crowd; the architecture and character of the home doesn’t need much added to it. Melange Bridal provided Emily’s stunning wedding gown. Talk about a princess dream come true! Enjoy this wedding inspiration and stay cool!
