Jordan and Will’s Colorful Mexican-Inspired Summer Wedding at Southwest School of Art | San Antonio Wedding Photography

Jordan and Will inspired me by their faith in God and steadfast, quiet love for one another. Nobody likes getting hitched in August in south Texas, but after their engagement session earlier that summer, I convinced Will to do a First Look so we could get more portraits completed before the ceremony. He could see the value of using time before guests arrive to go ahead and see each other, have a quiet moment, pray together, and then take beautiful pictures instead of powering through photos after the ceremony, wishing we could quit and get into the air conditioning reception.

Most people save seeing each other for the first time until the bride is walking down the aisle, but I will tell you there is no way we would have captured Jordan and Will’s emotional reaction like we did when she saw him. SHE was the one who immediately cried. I was nearly in tears myself and I am not ashamed to admit it. The rest of the wedding party was waiting inside until we called them out, and then we quickly proceeded through group photos to allow them back inside as fast as possible. The entire day I kept almost accidentally calling Jordan Eva, because she resembled Eva Longoria so much! She was stunning.

It was such a pleasure being with these two fabulous families. Jordan and Will’s mothers acted like best friends; it was so much fun photographing them as they listened to the toasts and watched their children dance together. And they both have got some sweet dance moves themselves!

Melody with One Fine Day Events did a fantastic job bringing a colorful wedding palette acknowledging Jordan’s Hispanic heritage: bright blues, yellows, pinks and orange combining beautifully with the iconic backdrop of Southwest School of Art. Ice House Band kept the guests rocking all night long–Jordan even surprised Will and their guests by rapping Macklemore’s “Can’t Hold Us”. Will’s mom surprised the couple with a private horse-drawn carriage for their exit and the end of the night.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Will Ebner! May you always live #happilyebnerafter
