Welcome!

Welcome to Rachael Hall Photography! I am an Austin-based wedding, mitzvah and portrait photographer. Here you will find portfolio work from my most recent weddings, mitzvahs, events, and portrait sessions. I am a member of the Austin Chapter of ILEA (International Live Events Association). I won the Texas Star Award for Best Event Photographer in 2017 and 2015 as well as The Knot's Best of Weddings Pick for 2013 and 2014. Take a look around, and let's talk!

THE TEAM

I’m Rachael

Howdy! I'm Rachael. I was born and raised in south Georgia, a die-hard Bulldawg fan and grammar snob. Mom always said we had just enough Yankee in the family to get an education. I prefer to buy books so I can read them over and over again, and I am addicted to chocolate and coffee. I'm a proud mama of a University of Texas graduate (Hook 'em!) and happy wife to a wicked-smart software engineer. I love CrossFit, Harry Potter, a good cabernet sauvignon and Matt Damon (my husband is fully aware).

I launched my photography business in 2010 after spending seven years as the entire media department for an international non-profit organization. I've traveled to London, Spain, Romania, Italy, Morocco, Burundi, Turkey, Russia, China, Cambodia and Mexico. Istanbul is my favorite city in the world.

The CTO

This is Lanier. A graduate in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, he is my Chief Technical Officer, UX Designer and #1 Fan. I knew he was the one for me when he corrected my grammar. Seriously. We got married in 2008 in the middle of the Big Short (hurray!). He loves video games, ping pong, college football and Zaxby's wings with Insane Sauce. Trust me. You can't handle it.

This is Kitty

Kitty is my office assistant. She is six years old. She has absolutely no ability to type, answer phone calls or make coffee. She prefers to sleep all day: her favorite spot is under the covers in the bed (not allowed!) or in the nearest pool of sunlight on the floor. She has not received a pay raise in six years.
