Amelia’s dreamy beach theme bat mitzvah celebration was in downtown Austin at the Thompson Hotel. We met the day before at Congregation Agudas Achim for her synagogue portraits. I always love the personalized touches: the beautiful tallit, sometimes a kiddush cup which will become a treasured heirloom one day…Amelia was a dream to photograph. She’s a sweet young lady and so comfortable in front of the camera (not always the case at age 13!).
Her bat mitzvah celebration at the Thompson Hotel was so unique! I was so surprised and delighted to see this elegant beach theme…soft blue and white flowers mixed with tulle and creamy seashells. Candlelight set the mood. And the beach-theme cookies to take home were adorable! Quite Nantucket, I’d say, and so grown up. Amelia was very happy with her planner’s design. Neema with Bat City Beats did a great job keeping the young ladies on the dance floor, and the hora was a blast, as always.
