Christmastime Part II: (New Braunfels Photographer)

Hannah and Jade are dancing in Ballet New Braunfels’ annual Christmas production of “The Nutcracker” this weekend. Neither of them have ever been in it before. As a kid, I had a friend named Jeannie who was a mouse one year in the ballet. Every time I played at her house, I’d put on that mouse costume. Well, Jade was a mouse! Hannah played a toy soldier. Esther and Cristina, co-directors of Ballet New Braunfels, did a great job. It was marvelous!

My sisters-in-law, Bess and Jessica, did the girls’ hair and makeup. Thanks a million!!Hannah’s good friend Jordan played Uncle Drosselmeyer. Jordan is a senior at Canyon High School, a talented actor and member of CHS Little Theatre Company.Jade, creeping onstage with all the other mice.My one good shot of Hannah, except oh yeah–the trumpet’s in her face. Sigh…..Jade was a fierce mouse. So technically we weren’t allowed downstairs in the dressing room, but Jade happened to pop upstairs for a moment. I begged her to get Hannah so I could get one picture of them together in costume. The grand finale.Congratulations, girls! You were magnificent.Jade with her friend, Olivia. With Mom! 🙂
