Dena is one of the most stunning girls I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. I don’t know what it was; her long black hair, her huge dark eyes, or just her awesome attitude. She loves Scarlett O’Hara from Gone With the Wind, and Scarlett is one of my heroes (if you haven’t read the book, then you don’t understand. The movie was a sorry depiction of her true character). We had so much fun saying “Fiddle-dee-dee!” on a hot, sultry Texas afternoon at the San Jose Mission and the Espada Mission. At one moment, I had her standing in the doorway of the back end of the chapel. She was surrounded by the darkness of the cool interior while the afternoon light spilled on her. I swear, she looked like she’d stepped right out of The Godfather. Really. It was hot, it was SO HOT, but we had a ball. Just wait ’til I post her wedding!!

BAM! This is my absolute favorite. I’m waiting for Marlon Brando to step out of the dark, take her arm, and walk her down the aisle.
Seriously? Seriously! It just got better and better! We ran over to the Espada Mission for these. I love this sweet little mission. Not nearly as crowded, and just beautiful. I love its crumbly, broken down walls.
My other favorite. Something very angelic and soft about this one.
No tricks here, it really was breezy! 🙂
Annnnd, my other favorite. Everything about this just makes me happy. So Snow White. I’m waiting for her Prince to come wake her with a kiss.
