Home Kitchen Remodel

So, I was obsessed with Domino Magazine, and loved loved loved looking at all the different ways to remodel a home, but never once thought I would actually get to DO something fun and beautiful like that. Why? I dunno, I just didn’t. I had been thinking for a year or so about updating our kitchen in our modest two-story house in the ‘burbs of Cedar Park. We bought it in 2016 and it was five years old then. Lanier and I toyed with moving into something bigger, but y’all know how terrible real estate prices are here in Austin and surrounding areas. It seemed a better idea to invest in where we already are, and also love where we are a little more. I have a terrific husband who learned one piece of advice from his daddy, “Son, let her decorate her house however she wants.” Thanks, Chuck! He listened!  It was terrifying to make decisions which seem so permanent, but I had a great team of contractors who are absolute professionals. I’m happy to give their contact info to whoever wants it! Without further ado, I give you photos of The Great Kitchen Remodel of 2020.

Vendor love: tile backsplash, Home Depot; paint, Sherwin-Williams; counters and sink, J&L Cabinet and Granite; faucet, Amazon; designer, Teresa McKee; tile, Ralph Bucci
