This was a blessing to photograph. My dear friend asked if I would do a “sexy swimsuit shoot” with her for her birthday, to celebrate herself and embrace this stage of life (40+). I whole-heartedly support ANY woman who is ready to love herself and celebrate how she was made. Erm, her birthday was in February, but heck yes, if she can throw on a bikini, I’m at least getting my feet wet (and yes, it was cold but it was before the arctic blast!). She put together a little DIY birthday cake and dessert tableau, choosing a yellow shade because what is more joyful than yellow?
We had so much fun. These kinds of photoshoots are definitely a collaboration of TRUST , and boy was I honored to have her trust. We turned on some Beyonce while we moved about the pool at her apartment complex, and were thankful for the few moments the sun actually broke through and warmed us up! I hope you enjoy these portraits as much as I did making them. I certainly would love to have more sessions like this in the future!
