San Antonio Newborn Portrait Session

2026 began with the teeniest, tiniest newborn toes!! I met Taylor and Collin at their home in north San Antonio to photograph their new daughter, Callie. OMG!!! I died. She was SO. SMALL. I love newborn photography! I photographed Taylor and Collin’s wedding a few years ago; it was a joy to see their family increase! I remember Taylor also hails from the great state of Georgia (go, Dawgs!). I love how she decorated Callie’s nursey with sweet Georgia peaches!

We did a mix of photos around the house. Now you may freak out over the idea of a photographer coming to your home. And yes, I realize you gave birth 2-3 weeks ago and maybe don’t feel your best. However, newborn photography is CLOSE. We are focused on that teeny tiny human and just need a clean spot and good light. Window lighting, preferably! And remember: I am here to make you look great! Babies grow soooo fast. It’s marvelous to catch these brand new moments when life begins. Some things to consider: babies like to be warm, so turn up the heat or get a space heater if you want Baby to be naked. Look around to see where your best lighting is. Is it a large window? A patio door? You’d be surprised. Do you have older children who will be involved? What do you want the session to focus on to capture the personality of YOUR family? Be prepared with fresh diapers, wipes and burp cloths. Have a back up blanket for posing in case of erm, leaks. And just relax. It’ll be great. This kind of session is unhurried. Age 10-15 days is best for newborns as they just sleep the whole time. Don’t worry about acne or peely skin. That’s what editing is for. <3
