Rebekah is graduating high school this spring (shout out to homeschoolers!) so we did her senior portrait session this spring at the beautiful Brushy Creek Park in Cedar Park. Brushy Creek is divided by Parmer Lane, and you have two giant swaths of greenspace on either side. The lakeside has its gorgeous lake, of course, and nice woods and sweeping fields of wildflowers from early spring through early summer. Brushy Creek Park is so big that plenty of photographers can be working alongside each other and no one is in the way. =) The sports park side has more of the trail for biking, running, etc. and a multitude of photography options. Rebekah was super fun to work with; I especially love the images we got of her in the actual creek. Pro Tip: bring shoes to walk about 5 minutes down the (paved) trail, and bring a towel to wipe your feet when you’re done so you’re not putting wet feet back into your shoes. Also consider your outfit; it will get wet on the hem. There is a public restroom on both sides of the park for easily changing clothes.
We couldn’t have gotten a nice day for these portraits. No wind(!!), 70 degrees, and not much traffic on the trail (very unusual). Rebekah has such a beautiful smile. She was so demure and self-possessed in front of the camera. Congrats on your graduation, Rebekah! It was a pleasure getting to know you.
