Megan and Ethan had a beautiful, classic black tie wedding at Addison Grove in Austin, Texas. I loved working with this couple! They were so happy and excited for their big day, and both of their families were so joyful and sweet. Many happy tears were shed that day! One of my favorite moments was when Megan’s grandmother saw her in her wedding gown for the first time. Megan is the first grandchild in the family to marry, so it was super emotional for them. Another favorite moment was their First Touch: Megan and Ethan wrote their vows to one another and read them in privacy without actually seeing one another. I love that they shared such a personal moment, yet kept the ceremony as short as possible for their guests in the Texas heat.
Addison Grove is a wonderful place for an elegant Texas-style wedding. The ceremony area is shaded by an expansive canopy of live oak trees. The reception hall has plenty of room for dining, dancing and partying. And what Texas wedding would be complete without the iconic longhorns?? Guests had lots of fun petting the cattle (watch those horns, though!). Amy Mader with Platinum Weddings & Events oversaw every detail to ensure a stress-free, perfect day.
Megan and Ethan both had lots of personal touches in their wedding attire: Megan wore heirloom pearls and carried a handmade antique shawl. Ethan wore a wristwatch handed down over the generations while his brother sported family cuff links. Family legacy was definitely important to the happy couple. I’m sure with such families behind them, Megan and Ethan will continue a strong legacy of love and commitment. Congratulations, Megan and Ethan!
