Aaron had an amazing ocean-inspired bar mitzvah celebration at The Line Hotel in Austin, Texas this past June. Lauran with Waterloo Creative always takes a client’s vision and RUNS WITH IT. She is so creative!! Aaron’s mom, Rachel (yesss, Team Rachels!!) was game for lots of Lauran’s ideas. Sparkly mermaids? Check! Glittery jellyfish?? Check! Guest shark appearance?! Check, CHECK! The whole ballroom was transformed into an awesome bubbly underwater experience. Crabs peeked from balloon-scapes and octopi served up adult drinks at the bar. Jellyfish dangled from the ceiling while stringed balloons mimicked bubbles rising from the ocean floor. There was fun for everyone. EZ Bar Mitzvahs kept the kids hopping with games and dancing all night long. And the kids loved the ice cream bar and shark logo cotton candy served up by Simply Sweet Bar.
I had photographed Aaron’s big sister Sasha four years ago in 2020. Her bat mitzvah celebration, sadly, was cancelled, and we pivoted to photograph her ceremony at home. We were still able to do her beautiful synagogue portraits at Congregation Agudas Achim. I love their family so much. It was a joy to see them get to celebrate Aaron, and see beautiful Sasha grown up! We all endured so much during the Covid-19 pandemic. Enjoy these fun photos; it was a blast to be a part of it. Mazel tov, Aaron!
