Ashley and Jeff had a lovely wedding in San Antonio this fall. Again, it threatened rain, and again, it never sprinkled a drop. Jeff is a fireman, and Ashley is a nurse (specifically, labor and delivery) so if anybody suddenly burst into flame or went into labor (the wedding planner was pregnant with twins and Krissy was mere weeks from delivering our newest family member) we would be ok. I would describe Ashley’s wedding, coordinated by Sweet August Events, as simple elegance. You can’t beat a ballroom at a museum for class, plus we were having fits over the gorgeous light spilling through the trees around the Witte Museum property. One other note: Polo, with Barshop Ollervidez Entertainment was one of the best jammin’ DJs I’ve heard all year. For real.

I don’t know if you can tell, but Jeff really loves this woman. I think he was excited about this day.
Ashley, when you started crying while dancing with your dad, I totally cried. I am not ashamed to admit it.
We slipped out for a few more “artsy” images while the guests continued to dance. I love these!!
And I happened to catch Jeff’s grandparents telling him goodbye outside as they left. I love grandparents. I miss mine so much. So I really appreciate the ones who are still around for their families.
