Lots of families get together only on holidays due to long distances. Each year we in the wedding photography business can expect inquiries for family sessions on Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. This was such a session, and it was really special: one sister had a brand new, four-day-old infant; brother was coming from college; sister coming from Chicago and parents from overseas! Despite the 100% chance of rain, we had to push forward and make the best of it. Fortunately, Trish and Ben’s house provided stunning light (he BUILT their house!) and plenty of space for some beautiful, relaxed family portraits I know they will cherish forever. Sometimes nothing beats great window lighting. Baby Camille pretty much stole the show with her sleeping beauty! It was a pleasure to meet this family. Merry Christmas! –Rachael
