Family portrait sessions are a nice break from strictly wedding photography. There is something about getting up early on a Sunday morning in October when it’s still deciding whether or not to be chilly, and meeting a happy little chunky monkey like this and her mommy and daddy for some fun pictures. Brooklyn, you have my heart, little one! Her mama, Jamie, is owner of Scripted Ever After, a terrific custom stationary shop for all occasions. We met at Jamie’s parents’ house for a quiet mini-session, careful not to wake the neighbors who might be taking their day of rest seriously. I like portrait sessions to be personal: wear what you’d really wear, let’s go where the place means something to you, basically everybody be as comfortable and happy as possible. Sound good?
