This wedding was Uh. Ma. Zing. Kristi with Eclipse Event Co. outdid herself–Heather and Brian’s destination wedding at Horseshoe Bay was a dream come true! I met this awesome Dallas couple when they came down this past summer for a walk through and tasting. It’s been a whirlwind few months, getting closer to the Big Day, almost like anticipating Christmas. Any time I photograph a couple who have a story a little similar to mine, it means that much more to be a part of it and to capture it for a couple. Heather has son, Hunter who’s 13. My daughter Hannah was just about to turn 13 when I married Lanier. So it felt really familiar, the hope and nervousness and anticipation of creating a new family all at once. That’s a special kind of man!
We had perfect weather (THANK YOU, Lord!), show-stopping florals, Heather’s shut-your-MOUTH Inbal Dror gown, the sweetest ceremony EVER as Hunter walked his mom down the aisle and then Brian made vows not just to Heather, but to Hunter too (I’m bawling), custom laser-cut names at each guest’s plate and a phenomenal boat exit complete with happily ever after fireworks. Seriously! This is one for the books! Many many thanks to my trusty and talented friend Breanna McKendrick for helping me capture all the eye-popping details. Congratulations Heather and Brian! I wish you all the very best.
