I’ve been a member of ILEA Austin for three years. It has been my wedding and event professional family here in Austin. I can’t imagine having made the connections I have without them! Every month, our chapter has educational meetings. This time our speaker was Daniel Holman, recent former president of ILEA San Antonio chapter, and fellow wedding photographer! He gave an excellent teaching on Search Engine Optimization as well as good, practical tips for helping promote one another’s business (sort of like what I’m doing right now!). Lily and Erica with Eclipse Event Co did a fabulous job planning and pulling off this event; we had a steady downpour of rain, which made an evening meeting and dinner a little hairy. Austin Catering provided delicious dinner and every table had a unique centerpiece–dessert!–in lieu of the usual florals. Erica and Lily used astrological signs as their inspiration, and it was pretty cool!
