Joseph had an amazing bar mitzvah inspired by his love of the Dallas Mavericks. His bar mitzvah, planned and executed by the inestimable Red Velvet Events, included a Friday dinner at the W Austin, Saturday portraits before his ceremony at Congregation Beth Israel, wrapping up with a crazy party at Austin Central Library Saturday night. Whew! This kid must have eaten his Wheaties. This blog features the Friday night dinner at the W Hotel, hosted by his grandparents, and Saturday morning portraits. Part 2 will cover the party! Luis and his team at Red Velvet Events did an amazing job. Friends and family enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the W Hotel, and as it was Valentine’s Day, Joseph surprised all his female guests with a single red rose. He had a ton of cousins visiting from all over the country, and knowing it was important to his mom to have lots of photos with them, I had all the kids sneak out during dinner for some fun portraits. My favorite is the black and white; it was literally our first take, and they nailed it. Mazel tov, Joseph! It was a pleasure being part of your special weekend.
