Welcome to Part 2 of Joseph’s basketball-inspired bar mitzvah at Austin Central Library! Whew, this was one for the books. Luis and his team at Red Velvet Events were incredible. I wish you could have seen this group of folks–not just Red Velvet but ALL the vendors–load in to this public space in ONE HOUR. One!! Nothing can be taken in until the library closes. Cocktail hour was held outside on the street level patio, but the main event was on the sixth floor, including the rooftop garden area. It was a stunning set up: guests enjoyed signing a large thumbprint character poster for Joseph to keep; they had caricature artists; there was photobooth which not only gave guests the regular strip of photo prints, but also surprised them at the end of the night with custom printed cookies! Texas Pro DJ kept everyone dancing all night long, and just when it was time to satisfy a sweet tooth craving, out came the milkshake bar with toppings like cotton candy and brownies! Joseph, you throw one incredible party, sir.
