Kristen and Josh had a lovely wedding at Texas Old Town last month. It was a brilliant, sunny day. Kristen had gorgeous pink and white and green roses and hydrangeas. So light! So pretty! They met at the elementary school where Kristen teaches–Josh is the IT guy, and Kristen confessed that she found every excuse in the book to have Josh come to her room to “fix her computer.” I love it!
A couple of fun touches in their wedding: Kristen wanted to do a “First Touch,” which seems to becoming more and more popular. The couple doesn’t see each other; instead they either stand on opposite sides of a door, or around a corner, and just talk, holding hands. In this case, there wasn’t a very pretty spot, so I suggested we use the sweetly illuminated copse of trees behind Sage Hall. Kristen thought it was a great idea, and they created some really romantic images. I really liked their color scheme, so bright and colorful! And this crowd of family and friends really knew how to get down once the music started. So fun!
Congratulations, Kristen and Josh! Thank you, Ashlee Newman, for helping me photograph their beautiful day.
