My good friend Molly was married a couple of years ago, back when Cheri and I operated under Simple Happies Photography. Cheri did a beautiful job photographing Molly and Brent’s wedding, but I never got the thrill of seeing Molly in her gown. It was hand made by a cousin–silk–and Molly was dying for another chance to wear it. Enter spring break! She teaches kindergarten, and had the week off. I asked her if she wanted to play dress up, and she immediately agreed. I bought some flowers from HEB and arranged them in what I think turned out to be a lovely, rustic-looking bouquet. Molly’s dress is so simple, I didn’t want to overpower or detract from its beauty. We debated whether or not she should wear jewelry and finally decided against it. We set up at a friend’s ranch right outside of New Braunfels on the edge of the hill country. It was an overcast, slightly damp morning, but I think it just added to the sweet, quiet feeling these pictures evoke. Seeing Molly in her dress took my breath away. She was a bride all over again! She brought her own chair she’d gotten at Max’s Haus plus an antique crocheted spread her grandmother bought her. Simple! Lovely.
She is such a beautiful bride AGAIN!!! You have captured her simple inner beauty with these photos! They are SO Molly! I could go on and on about how beautiful each photo is!!!!
