Levi had his bar mitzvah portraits done at Congregation Agudas Achim this past January. He was so photogenic! I took the time to play around and do some dramatic lighting and get some really unique portraits once we got all the traditional images completed. The black and white portraits are my favorite. I really like the idea of creating something for someone which will last beyond his or her lifetime, showing that special moment of transition from childhood to adult (I might be liberal in the term “adult” since they’re only thirteen, ha!). I find the young men and women I photograph appreciate something that helps show off their maturity. And Levi did a terrific job. Mazel tov, Levi!
