Hannah’s Bridal Portraits at The Ice Plant Building | Austin Wedding Photography

It’s been almost a year since my Good Best Girl got married. I can’t believe it. As a wedding vendor, I thought I knew how much work goes into planning and pulling off an event. Well, I wasn’t totally aware. Amy Wilson with Hawthorne and Poppy was an absolute prize in helping us plan. Amy we could not have done it without you. You’d be surprised how many people would ask me, “Are you photographing the wedding?” when they heard my kiddo was getting hitched. Um, hell na. I was going to be gorgeous and be IN PHOTOS myself on that day. And honestly, it was the best day of my life. Hannah’s wedding was in mid-November, the busiest of busy times for photographing events. I took the whole month off. I did not, however, take October off, which is when we squeezed in this bridal portrait session. Madness, total madness. But so worth it!! Hannah combined her trial hair and makeup with Lauren Lumsden with this portrait session, and got an incredible preview of the magic Jordan Flowers would whip up for us. I got to play and take beautiful photos of my daughter. And we chose The Ice Plant Building in La Grange because it was really the type of venue Hannah originally wanted. It was just too far away to hold the wedding. So we were both thrilled that we used it for her bridal session. My mom cried when she got these photos. She exclaimed, “Who is this WOMAN? What happened to my little granddaughter?!” I kind of feel the same way. But mostly, I just feel proud. Proud of my girl, and all she has accomplished, including finding a wonderful man with whom to share her life. Love you, Nanner. –Mom
