Maya is the sweet younger sister of Ellie, whom we celebrated a few years ago. It is so cool to see Maya so grown up now, wow! When I compare their synagogue portraits from Agudas Achim, and see how tiny Maya used to be! Maya chose the same location for her bat mitzvah party–Vuka North–but had a completely different idea for her theme and decor, naturally. Lauran with Waterloo Creative did a fantastic job bringing together a feminine, elegant cherry blossom look to a fun-filled celebration. A very special touch: Maya’s aunt hand made all the individual cherry blossoms!! The coolest thing was the video projection of cherry blossoms raining down on the wall of the venue. THAT made for some really beautiful images.
One thing BOTH young ladies had, which is always a crowd pleaser, was the silent disco! It is so fun to end the night with competing groups of dancers, guessing what each one is hearing and dancing to. So good! Everyone had so much fun at Maya’s bat mitzvah, and it was heart warming to see her and Ellie dancing together on the dance floor. Sister love! Mazel tov, Maya!
