Sweet little Piper was three weeks old when I did her newborn portraits on a hot July 5th. She was born while I was on vacation in Jamaica; her mama and I were planning for this session with the same anticipatory feelings of uncertainty and joy–not knowing exactly when Piper would arrive, but really excited to meet her! I did Jill and Rob’s maternity session several weeks ago when it was still green and colorful outside, and definitely a lot cooler! Piper’s favorite thing to do is be held by Mom. It’s a thrill to see Jill embracing “Mom life” now. I never get over how incredibly tiny babies are…those long, perfectly-formed fingers and toes. The newness of everything. Jill didn’t expect to be in any images, but I’m glad she obliged. I know Piper will treasure these portraits in years to come.
