Stephanie and Paul had one of the sweetest weddings I’ve witnessed this year. Their spring wedding was held at Canyon Springs Golf Club. Paul’s little daughter, Presley, stole my heart. She adores her new stepmom, and I was so tickled to be a part of this new family, as it hits close to home for me. Stephanie’s mom died when she was very young, resulting in a very close relationship with her daddy. Her family is not the typical, traditional arrangement, with a much younger stepmom, and getting a new daughter in the marriage. I loved it. You could feel the love the whole day. Lots of tears, lots of laughter! Presley and her aunt, who’s about the same age. We had some fun while Stephanie was getting her finishing touches on make up.Presley wanted a little makeup, too.Lots of what I call “small people” in this wedding, a.k.a. children. Everyone got dressed at the club.Beautiful reception area!Stephanie had requested a First Look, not with her groom, but her dad. We were happy to oblige. As soon as they saw each other, they burst into tears.Krissy got this amazing shot of Paul watching his bride come down the aisle. Remember Presley’s a heart-stealer, right? Krissy and I were both in the aisle, hunkered down for The Kiss. We were clicking away, and suddenly, there’s a little white blur–Presley ran over to hug her parents! OMG we lost it. I was crying, Paul and Stephanie were crying, it was wonderful. I’m so glad we got these images for them!Time for some sweet family pix!Agggghhh!! Seriously!I think I bawled like a baby during this, too: Presley wanted a daddy/daughter dance of her own. They danced (and SANG) to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be In My Heart” from the Disney movie, Tarzan. I looked over at Hannah, my assistant and Good Best Girl, and she’s weeping, too. Seriously. I couldn’t take any more.Ok now for a lighter moment! They did a slight twist on the garter toss. Stephanie and her bridesmaids all sat down while Paul was blindfolded. The trick was that he was to feel each lady’s ankle and guess which was his bride. But Stephanie’s father decided to get in on the action!Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Lobrecht! I am in love with your family!
