Sweet, sweet Taylor. This beautiful, kind young woman had a very unique love story: her wedding plans with Collin were temporarily postponed due to an unforeseen illness. It was disappointing at least and terrifying at worst. As Taylor originally hails from Atlanta, GA, I had a soft spot for her being a Georgia girl myself. Her mama and I communicated regularly throughout her healing process, thrilled that she would continue to be her sweet self AND every single vendor was able to reschedule for a Saturday in February! Dreams do come true. I think that because of Taylor’s challenges and the fact that she overcame them with grace and faith made every guest at their wedding about a hundred times more excited to be there. I have never heard folks cheer for a married couple like Taylor and Collin! Keri with The Event Assistant did an outstanding job re-coordinating all of us on Taylor’s wedding team to pull off a beautiful event at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and The Veranda in San Antonio. The Royal Dukes rocked the house and kept the dance floor hopping all night! This was a special day so full of sweet, quiet moments, like the bridesmaids enjoying their Chick-Fil-A (Atlanta love again!) so much that I was inspired for a ring shot using their iconic waffle fry, Taylor’s mom giving her her grandmother’s ring as a “something old,” and a personalized engraved necklace with her original wedding date on it to always treasure her story’s happily ever after. A word of advice to ALL wedding couples out there: it it always a great idea to carry wedding insurance for your event. Its cost depends on your budget so pricing is very flexible. You simply never know what can happen, and the peace of mind is absolutely priceless. Congratulations, Taylor and Collin. Your wedding day was definitely worth waiting for!
