I. Love. This. Family.
Of course, ALL of my families I serve as photographer are my favorites, but THIS family, well….some just make you glad you chose the job you did. Annabelle is the third child I have photographed for their b’nai mitzvahs. She is the ONLY daughter out of four children. The Queen. Yes. And she is just a sweetheart to photograph. She brought her party dress to the synagogue when we did her portraits and we had a ball, having her twirl around so I could really capture her princess energy. I also try to do something unique for each young person’s portraits if there’s time. Since Annabelle brought her beautiful, fluffy princess dress, I decided to capture some really beautiful images with each parent separately in the lobby, where the window lighting is (chef’s kiss). I am in love with these images! Typically we do the synagogue portraits about a month away from the party so Mom can have one printed and on display at the party, which we did. However, we had to pivot a bit and be flexible with family synagogue portraits, as the oldest brother is now, sniff sniff–WORKING. It just meant I popped by right after her ceremony and grabbed quick portraits of the whole family, plus the grandparents and rabbi! Hooray!
Annabelle had her celebration at Maggiano’s, just like her oldest brother. Hey if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! The family had a super relaxed, fun time together, dancing, eating, doing the hora and being together. Mazel tov, Annabelle!
