Lanier and I are spending two weeks in Chattanooga, Tennessee this summer to get away from the Texas heat!! What a difference ten degrees makes!
Lanier has been working remotely from our condo while I explore the city. Adventure! I haven’t gotten any urban photos yet, but it’s on my List of Things to Do. We’ve found a great gym (shoutout to CrossFit Brigade and their awesome staff!) but today I craved plain ‘ole hiking in the woods. Chattanooga is supposed to be the epicenter of outdoor activities for the Southeastern United States. So, what can a 48-year-old gal do on her own that won’t give her mother a heart attack?
I looked up hiking on Chattanooga’s terrific tourism website and picked Signal Mountain. I’m hoping Lanier can hit Lookout Mountain with me. I spent an hour walking downhill to the creek and then back. Awesome leg workout to rid my poor trashed legs after 80 wallballs yesterday and heavy deadlifts. Enjoy the photos! the first image is the view from Signal Point; all the rest are Rainbow Lake Wilderness Park which is a 2-minute drive from SP.
