Celeste and Rambo are friends of mine through CrossFit. I don’t even know Rambo’s max back squat; he’s seriously a beast. I was so excited to be a part of their wedding! Celeste would text me from time to time, showing me her ideas. I couldn’t wait to see it all come together! This was very much a DIY wedding; both come from Hispanic backgrounds and wanted to celebrate that culture in their decor. I think they pulled it off! It was a beautiful, bright sunny day in October. They chose the Green Red Barn in Pflugerville for a simple, intimate wedding. What a great space! There are so many lovely spots for portraits, no matter what time of day.
They arrived ready to go, so we began with their First Look. I am so so glad we did this! I love the privacy of the moment, just to BE together, and laugh or cry or both, sharing the excitement of “we’re about to walk down the aisle.” They exchanged gifts, and then we took just a few portraits before the ceremony. They had literally worked all day the day before to set up the reception in the barn, so it was totally ready for photos when I showed up. I loved it! Celeste had a special chair for her mama, who passed away many years ago. It was such a sweet way to honor someone who should have been there celebrating with her.
Congratulations, Celeste and Rambo! You were a knockout couple. And it was the most perfect day.
