Chloe!! I love this girl. She is so self-possessed and mature! It was super special to be a part of her bat mitzvah, particularly because her event happened to be about a week after the tragic shooting at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburg. I can’t tell you how it felt to walk into Temple Beth Shalom on a sunny Saturday morning, hearing Chloe’s sweet voice singing in Hebrew. Life goes on! It is still happening. Good will overcome evil; I firmly believe that. We quickly worked in some portraits of her with the rabbis, her family, and by herself immediately after the service. Later that afternoon, we did more family portraits at Westwood Country Club where her party was held. Friends and family enjoyed cocktail hour on the marina deck, watching a beautiful sunset. Dinner and candle lighting ceremony followed indoors, ending with a hilarious hora (oh Chloe, your face!) and family getting down to Texas Pro DJ‘s spins or enjoying casino games by Texas Poker Supply. Her personalized s’mores were beautiful take home treats for everyone.
