Emma’s neon colored tennis-themed bat mitzvah was so much fun! I love how her passion for tennis showed up throughout our entire time together. We did her fun on-location portraits downtown at South Congress, and then her party decor was so unique, using tennis rackets and tennis balls. I met Emma and her family at Temple Beth Shalom before her dual ceremony with her friend, Josephine for portraits. I love it when kids share their b’nai mitzvah ceremonies; I think it relieves the pressure on them because they’re sharing the spotlight.
The Archer Hotel is a great location for b’nai mitzvahs; it has a large outdoor patio overlooking the Domain which is great for cocktail hour. Emma’s DJ team hailed from Houston and they kept everybody rocking all night long! All the guests got personalized air-brushed hats as party favors (and I may have snagged one for myself, heh heh). Congratulations, Emma! You are awesome! Mazel tov!!
