This is probably the most special wedding I will have done in 2016. Twenty years ago, Hannah and Pablo would not be your typical wedding couple, and their story would not be a Happily Ever After. I only have the privilege of knowing their story because this Hannah is good friends with my Hannah. While still in highschool, they found themselves expecting a child. They decided to have the baby, and raise the baby, and see what the future held. Three years later, they tied the knot at The Club at Sonterra, on Earth Day! Their gorgeous, adorable little girl, Lylah, whom I will forever know as “Cheeks,” because that’s my daughter’s nickname for her, was flower girl.
Two years ago I had photographed Hannah’s brother’s wedding. This was my first wedding to reconnect and repeat having a family as clients. It is wonderful. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited and happy for a couple, and so dang proud. They did it! And they are so rich and fortunate to have the blessings and support of their families. Needless to say it was quite an emotional day and I missed most of the ceremony because I was crying my eyes out. I’m just thankful my photos turned out so well. A big, big thank you to Lacey Marie Photography for assisting me on this one.
Hannah and Pablo, I love you both. We are all so proud of you.We had to put Lylah’s little princess dress next to Mommy’s! Love their Earth Day inspired ring box with its wood and moss.
We did a First Look with Dad since Hannah is such a daddy’s girl. I think this is when the tears first starting flowing (for me!)Hannah, just STOP IT, you are so gorgeous. Seriously.Sweet Pablo and his beautiful mom. Can you tell they love each other???And here’s where I officially started bawling:In honor of Earth Day, they poured dirt into a box containing a small tree they will plant at their home.On to some fun family portraits!!Brigitte, Hannah’s “second mom”–not “step mom”–surprised the couple with a celestial light display on the ceiling, complete with a full moon! They loved it.Sharing a kiss under a full moon inside! So cool.
[…] friend. I have had the privilege of photographing two of Nancy’s children’s weddings (Ryan and Hannah). Each wedding had its own emotion, its joy and tones of celebration. I hope these images describe […]
