Jennifer + Sean = Married (Spring Branch, TX)

I met Jennifer and Sean a little over a month before their wedding. Yes. This was a quick hire. They had a lot to accomplish that weekend in town: bridal portrait, meeting the wedding planner, and a thousand other things. We spent an hour discussing their wedding and getting to know each other. This is so important! Everybody has a different story. They live in Corpus Christi, and Sean is a huge fan of Texas dance halls and Texas music. My friend Ashlee Newman, who photographed with me, wore her boots in honor of their theme.

The ceremony was at St. Joseph’s in Honey Creek, a beautiful Texas limestone church. The reception was Anhalt Dance Hall. A fun, relaxed, down home south Texas wedding. I loved it.

Ashlee got the sweetest portraits of Jennifer while I photographed Sean. Jennifer was absolutely stunning.undefinedundefined

I can’t get over this one! Photo by Ashlee Newman.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

Ashlee got this shot of the rings, too. We both played around with them while the sun was fading fast.

It was the hottest day I’ve had so far in doing weddings this year (I think the humidity was 100%) but even that couldn’t dampen these guys’ enthusiasm. They were so in love. I think Sean couldn’t stop staring at Jennifer all day. It was a privilege to work with them.

As mother of the groom I speak with experience on what a great job Rachael did for Sean and Jen’s wedding. Ashlee and she captured the essence (dumb word but accurate) of their wedding.
The service was holy and they got that in their photographs.
The reception was fun, Texas, and real. They got that, too! Just look at the shots they got of Anhalt, a 108 year old dance hall, of the guests and the band, but more importantly, they focused on the bride and groom. Ashlee and Rachael caught more wonderful photos of those two so they will never wonder what really happened on that “night that went so fast I can’t remember anything”.
    Great job girls!
