Kim and Rodney were a delightful couple! I had chatted with Kim by phone several times regarding their August wedding at the elegant Horseshoe Bay Resort. Yes, it was August, and yes, it was hot, but there is just something unstoppable about the joy of two people who want to pledge their love for one another in front of their dearest family and friends. It was such a simple, unfussy day, just Kim in a stunning cream dress with her two daughters, and Rodney decked in a cool blue guayabera with his niece who is pretty much a daughter. Throw in some college friends and gorgeous Florals by Randi, and you’ve got yourself a party. Being a “non-traditional” couple, Kim and Rodney did not have their parents present at their wedding, however, Kim had two beautiful brooches pinned to her bouquet in honor of their mothers. A sweet, emotional ceremony officiated by Kim’s good friend was held on the Magnolia Lawn. Even the resort guests lounging at the pool cheered when Kim and Rodney shared their first married kiss. Kim’s daughters decorated a golf cart for their getaway, surprising Rodney, while everyone inside enjoyed dinner and cake. Congratulations, Kim and Rodney! It was such a blessing meeting you both and your awesome families.
