So! I started off the New Year with helping organize Ladders for Leaders‘ first big fundraiser, a 5K Run/Walk Race at Brushy Creek Lake Park! It was a brilliant, cold day on MLK weekend. Perfect for running! The super-talented Aubry Ramsey helped me photograph the race and grab some fun shots of folks as they hung out, snacked, listened to our awesome DJ Noah and win some free raffle prizes! We raised over $2,500 for our non-profit towards paid internships for Williamson County high school students. Not a bad start to 2019! If you participated in the race, or your child did, here is the link to the free online gallery so you may download your images. Thank you so much to all those who participated, especially Camp Gladiator for leading the warm ups, DJ Noah, Orange Theory and FUSE for setting up vendor stations. And our biggest thanks to Dave Robinson, an inspiration to us all who launched a Facebook page for his 2019 goal to run in every county of Texas this year for fitness, Fat Man On a Mission.
