There are so many fun things about this wedding last fall! Liz and Christo are two software engineers and love all things sci-fi and fantasy. Think Zelda and Lord of the Rings, swords and hobbits and Dungeons and Dragons. So many lovely, clever nods to their mutual interests! A guest had fun slipping in a surprise cameo of Link while I was photographing details as you will see. Christo is one super-talented dude! He handmade the wooden arch for their wedding ceremony, and all the guests’ seating cards! Custom wood-burned design! I was blown away. Liz had the most cunning green velvet shoes (I wanted to steal them) and a gorgeous, delicate comb of silver leaves for her hair. Definitely something Arwen Evenstar would have worn. So many sweet, personal touches: Christo’s sister had sadly passed away a year ago, but Liz carried a necklace of hers wrapped around her bouquet. Both of their sweet doggies participated, er well, sort of. The “ring bearer” didn’t quite make it all the way but a trusty friend saved the day (thanks Samwise!) They chose Heart of Texas Ranch for their weekend celebration; it is a great place for destination weddings. The big two-story house sleeps over a dozen guests with a huge kitchen and pool table upstairs for entertainment. Only 15 minutes from Marble Falls, it offers total privacy while still convenient to a quaint, small town full of Texas flair. You should see the field of bluebonnets in the spring! Kimberly with Eclipse Event Co did a great job and Claudia with Kitsch Event Styling blew me away with her green and white florals. The girls’ gowns with the florals really pulled off a beautiful, timeless look for Liz and Christo’s wedding. He even had a sword engraved with their wedding date! Seriously! I think my husband would have loved Christo’s Nintendo 64 groom’s cake. Now why didn’t I think of that??? Congratulations, Liz and Christo! May your love endure like Aragorn and Arwen.
